Director, Producer
Mike Fly has been producing and directing for the web for over 10 years on a variety of projects: corporate campaigns, branded content, web series and shorts. His web series credits include Comedy Bar, Space Janitors, the Improv Monologue Project, The Casting Room and Sexy Nerd Girl. He also produces and directs shorts for The Second City Network. His numerous TV credits include CBC's Street Cents, Exposure, Living Vancouver, Corner Gas and I, Martin Short, Goes Home. He also produced and directed the feature length documentary David Shepherd: A Lifetime of Improvisational Theatre. Mike has also performed across Canada, the USA and in Europe as an improvisor. He is thrilled be part of the team that brings Versus Valerie into the world.


Director, Writer (Eps 3 & 6)
Simon has been creating short video content since the 1980s. During the 1990s, Simon was a comic actor, performing at the Just For Laughs festival, touring theatre festivals, writing and performing for CBC TV and radio, and playing the role of a couch potato for 3 years on CBC's Riverdale. Then he found the Internet. He has since gone on to make the experimental video series Cinema 1 (1999-2002); sci-fi comedy series GO Moonbase (2007-2008); documentary series Canadian Comedy (2009-2010); Dave's Secret Podcast (2012), a companion show to the IPF series Bill & Sons Towing; and Sexy Nerd Girl. Versus Valerie is his favorite grand-daughter.


Head Writer, Writer (Eps 1, 2 & 12)
Steph graduated from Ryerson's Radio and Television Arts program in 2008. She has served as story coordinator on the Almost Heroes, Todd and the Book of Pure Evil and Mr. D. She's been doing stand-up comedy around Toronto for a couple years now, which earned her an invite to the Fresh Meat Showcase in 2008 and 2009. An experienced improvisor, she performed in several Bad Dog Theatre shows, including Hot Teachers in Love, Theatresports and Welcome to Town. She performs regularly at Catch 23 and Laugh Sabbath. Steph is a co-producer/co-host of the monthly stand-up show Comedy at the Ossington. Steph couldn't be happier to be the head writer and co-creator of Sexy Nerd Girl, a project she finds inspiring.


Writer (Ep 9)
Adam Christie is a Tim Sims Award-nominated, Canadian Screen Award-nominated, two-time Canadian Comedy Award-nominated stand-up comedian. A finalist in The Comedy Network's Cream of Comedy, he has performed at UCB Theater in Los Angeles, the Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival, the Cottage Country Comedy Festival and at Yuk Yuk's comedy clubs across Canada. Adam has appeared on MuchMusic's Stars Gone Wild, CBC's So You Think You're Funny?, Star!'s Best. Movies. Ever. and XM Radio's Chomping At The Bit. He produces the critically acclaimed Laugh Sabbath comedy show and co-hosts the podcast Hold You Applause.


Writer (Ep 11)
Galen hails from Toronto's west end where he grew up carefully nurturing a love for video games, movies, books, and all things nerd. He now attends Ryerson University's Radio & Television Arts program, which allows him to cultivate his tendency towards the imagined and fanciful into something that may eventually pay the bills. When not fantasizing about fantastical universes, Galen spends his time making and listening to music and drinking copious amounts of tea. Sexy Nerd Girl is a uniquely wonderful project and Galen is thrilled to be aboard.


Writer (Ep 7)
Kyah is a graduate of the Film Studies program at Ryerson University. She has written, produced and directed a host of short films over the last five years, and is excited to have several more upcoming. Two of the films she produced at Ryerson were screened in the Air Canada Enroute Film Festival. Alongside her involvement with Sexy Nerd Girl, she is working on pre-production of her fourth year thesis project and the completion of a feature-length script. When she's not working, she whittles away the hours with all manners of excellent nerd-isms, and she's delighted to be spreading the nerd-love worldwide.


Writer (Ep 4)
Alice is currently touring the US with the smash hit musical "Spank!" She is the artistic consultant and a producer at The Bad Dog Theatre Company and has performed in countless shows such as Doctor Whom, Theatresports and Throne of Games - an official selection of the 2013 Next Stage Festival. With The Second City's national touring company, she wrote four shows including Best.Monday.Ever., S#!T My Mayor Says and Dysfunctional Holiday Revue. She also writes a weekly column at shedoesthecity.com.


Writer (Ep 10)
Rob Norman is an actor, improviser, director, and writer living in Toronto, Canada. He is currently member of the Second City National Touring Company and is a four-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee. Rob has been lucky enough to tour comedy festivals in Chicago, St. John, the Dirty South, New York and Edmonton. His Toronto credits include: Our Days Are Numbers (Toronto Fringe), Second City Live in 3D (Second City TourCo), and Battleawesome Awesomestar (Bad Dog Theatre). Rob can currently be seen performing around town with Maybe as well as the testosterone-infused improv juggernaut MANTOWN.


Writer (Eps 5 & 6)
Deborah grew up in Kelowna, British Columbia. Her love for the arts moved her to New York City to study acting at Terry Schreiber Studios. While she was there, she performed improv at The Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and The Peoples Improv Theatre. She also frequented her stand-up at Caroline's, Stand-Up New York and Gotham Comedy Club. She has appeared on and written for CTV's E-Talk Daily, Much Music, The Score Network, CBC and The Comedy Network.


Production Supervisor, Visual Effects
Davin Trent Lengyel is a Toronto based web series producer. He credits include Pure Pwnage and the Gemini-nominated television series of the same name, Pro at Cooking, Brotherhood of Leet, Winding Gear, and the Screen Award-nominated IPF series Space Janitors, being released on Geek & Sundry. Davin was an associate producer for the IPF series Prison Dancer, and now production supervisor of Versus Valerie. His web series have reached over 10,000,000 people. Along with producing, Davin also provides special effects and legal services for his projects.


Visual Effects
Nick Montgomery is a Guelphite visual effects artist and cinematographer who has worked in the business for almost 10 years. In that time he has worked on various commercial and narrative projects, such as overseeing the entire look of the award-winning, fantasy webseries Mind's Eye produced by Synn Studios. Currently he is handling visual effects on Gamers: Hands of Fate from Zombie Orpheus Productions as well as shooting for ReRez, a weekly video game review series.


Illustrations, Storyboards (Eps 5 & 10)
Gabriel Bautista Jr. is a comix gorilla and colorist shogun. He draws Charley Loves Robots, seen in several issues of Elephantmen, published by Image Comics. He is an Eisner and Harvey award-winning colorist for Comic Book Tattoo, also Image Comics. His color art can be seen in several issues of Will Eisner's The Spirit and All-Star Western, published by DC Comics. He is the creator of comic battling site EnterVoid.com.
